LCP 2.2 s on mobile, four years after the audit
Three sites in one, about 25 URLs, and a blog that only looked fast in Lighthouse.
WordPress, a separate profile app and a blog
Voices' site was really three sites: a WordPress marketing site, a separate app for the voice actor profiles, and a blog and podcasts. I went through about 25 URLs across all of them.

Two font swaps and an image without dimensions
A fallback font swapped to Roboto, a hero image without dimensions pushed everything down, and then Roboto swapped to Poppins.

A 94 in Lighthouse from a plugin that held scripts back
It scored 94 in Lighthouse, because an optimization plugin held back the scripts for about four seconds. That fools the test and does nothing for real visitors, so my first advice for the blog was to take it out.

They took it and went flying
I sat down with their developers, told them what to fix first and taught them a few things along the way. A while later their development manager mailed me the list: scripts moved to the footer, duplicate fonts removed, font-display fixed, fetchpriority on the images that matter.
"Arjen played a key role in fixing our Core Web Vitals. He got our critical profile pages back into the green in PageSpeed. What I value most is his hands-on attitude: he doesn't just find the bottlenecks, he works directly with our development team until the fixes are actually live."

Green in Lighthouse, red in Search Console?
I find out what's slow for your real visitors, why it's slow, and what to fix first. Your developers get it in the order to build it.
